Founded in 1982 as a means of gathering the local community together Asian American Expo has seen many changes over the last 30 years. When it first launched, the event was called the Chinese American Expo, with only 60 exhibitors and the simple goal of bringing together local Asian businesses and consumers under one roof. From those humble beginnings, the Asian American Expo has expanded both its reach and its scale.

Today the Asian American Expo features 7 large exhibition halls, over 1,000 vendors, 9 non-stop performance stages, and 3 distinctly unique food courts. Attendees from all different ethnic and work backgrounds, from both local and international, are bound to be at the Expo. The Asian American Expo is hosted at the beginning of each year to celebrate the coming of the Lunar New Year Festival, with the goal recreating the New Year celebrations found across Asia at this time of the year. Food, shopping, entertainment and fun – these are all annual staples that can be found at each year’s event. All of this success would not be made possible without the support from the greater community both locally and internationally.

Food Courts are located between Hall 4, 5, and 8.

Anime Impulse is located at Hall 9 and 10.

6 Can I bring pet to the event?
Dog and cat are not allowed. Except for service dog.
7 Will the event provide wheelchairs?
Unfortunately no, please bring your own wheelchair if necessary.
8 Can I use day one's ticket for day two admission?
Each ticket is only valid for one-time usage.
9 Where can I get the Event Schedule?
Information Center at Exhibition Hall 4 and Service Center below the LED screen.
10 What to do my family member got lost at the event?
Please visit Exhibition Hall 4 and ask the Information Center to broadcast the information to all Halls.
11 Where is the restroom?
Restrooms are located on the sideways of the entrance at each Exhibition Halls.
12 where can I find ATM?
ATMs are located behind the Information Center at Hall 4 and at the entrance of the food court street. 
13 Where is the information center?

The information center is located at Exhibition Hall 4.

14 Where do I drop the raffle ticket?
Please drop your raffle ticket at Exhibition Hall 4, next to stage one.
15 What should I do if I am lost?

1. Please use the Show Guide Map as your guide for direction; OR

2. Ask help from any of the staff working at the event.

16 When is the event and its duration?
Asian American Expo are open on Saturday 1/18 and Sunday 1/19 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
17 What should I do if I have lost or misplaced my personal belongings?
Lost and Found services are provided at our Information Center at the entrance of Exhibition Hall 4.
18 Can I still ride the tram if I am in a wheelchair?
Yes, the trams in operation are equipped with handicapped access.
19 I parked at Gate 9, how can I get to the expo event?
Gate 9 parking lot is located at White Avenue. After your arrival please follow the route sign to the event. The walking timeframe is about 5 minutes and trams will not be provided at this location.
